How does Life Steal work?

Modified on Thu, 4 Dec, 2025 at 3:27 PM

In Monster Survivors, Life Steal does not heal you for the number shown on the stats.

Instead, Life Steal gives you a chance to heal 1 HP each time you hit an enemy. The number you see on the upgrade (e.g., “Life Steal: +15”) increases the chance that this 1 HP heal will trigger. It does not increase the amount of HP healed.

Key points:

  • Base Life Steal always heals 1 HP when it triggers.

  • Higher Life Steal values mean a higher chance to trigger, not more HP healed.

  • Certain items or effects can increase the amount healed per trigger, but by default it’s always 1 HP.

So, seeing a high Life Steal number does not mean you heal that much per hit — it just makes the 1 HP heal occur more frequently.
